Background I have sufficient experience tutoring elementary, high school students and college students. I have experience in working with transient and at-risk populations. In addition to that, I have studied abroad in Beijing, China. I have taken courses, such as Cities, Spaces and Power, Queer Histories and Politics, Chinese Media and Mass Communications, The U.S. and Asia, Islam and China and the World Economy. The objective of these courses was to explain the correlations between American culture, contemporary Chinese culture and the global community. Each fall and summer, during my collegiate career, I returned home to speak to high school students about my experiences as a first-generation college student at Syracuse University. The skills I have acquired in public relations empower me to successfully communicate with a myriad of audiences, including the general public, teachers, administrators and students. With my diverse skill sets and acquired knowledge, I have and can develop many applications that your student can relate to, which integrates coursework with real life situations. Additionally, I can teach him/her how to use social media effectively to obtain and retain knowledge.
